Why these ages?

Fresh 2021-22 upgrade on Tauranga Harbour: flying fox, inground trampoline, inground carousel, junior slide, basket swing and half basketball court on artificial surface. Genuinely accessible. But sits directly adjacent to the beach and shelly shore with no fencing; a wandering toddler reaches the water quickly. Split-zone toddler kit exists but harbourfront risk keeps this out of full toddler-friendly.

Access notes

The description states an accessible entrance onto the site, an artificial play surface firmer than bark or sand, and dedicated mobility parking right by the park. No transfer station or accessible toilet is confirmed.

Kulim Park's play area is well equipped for a range of ages: a multi play structure with a slide anchors the space, alongside a flying fox, a separate tubular slide, an inground trampoline, an inground carousel, balance logs, spring toys and a junior slide, set within a bayside reserve looking across the harbour to the mountains beyond.

Such a beautiful spot! We went down for fish and chips for dinner. Plenty of areas for the boys to ride their bikes and run around. The playground is awesome! Highly recommend this spot for a fun filled afternoon in the sun!

Kulim Park is one of our favorite spots in Tauranga! It has an awesome view of Mauao/Mount Maunganui and so much to do for the whole family—playground, flying fox, basketball court, BBQs, and even a beach for swimming. Plenty of space, great facilities, and perfect for kids’ birthday parties! We had also come to see the sunset in this park/beach and it was amazing!! Just visited this park again recently, noticed that there were a few improvements. More seating spots near the basketball court.

It is a place where I walk twice a week. Not only is the ocean scenery beautiful, but there are also many pretty houses, so time passes when I walk while looking around. The coffee I drink at the coffee car after walking is really delicious~^^
