Why these ages?

Description explicitly says built for 5+ rather than toddlers, and a reviewer agrees it suits 'kids aged 5 and up'. Towers, platforms, climbing nets and wobbly bridge on bark surface reward primary-aged climbers with balance. Shade from established trees is a real plus. Limited spinner/interactive draw for tweens, and nothing scaled down for under-fives.

Accessibility
Partial access
+ Accessible toilet on site- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

Description names accessible toilets at the St Andrews Road entrance, but the towers, platforms, climbing nets and wobbly bridge all sit on a bark surface, a hard blocker for reaching the play equipment itself.

Equipment

Melville Park's wooden playground sits under well established trees at the St Andrews Road entrance in Epsom, with climbing equipment, swings, slides, climbing nets and towers, platforms and a wobbly bridge on a bark surface. It's built for children aged five and up rather than toddlers, with enough variety of climbing and balance elements to hold older primary schoolers.

Nice and clean environment. Also, the field is suitable for playing soccer.

I like this little park, there is a playground for kids aged 5 and up I would say. The field is mainly used for cricket with a club room including toilet facilities. We use the field for football, Frisbee and any other outdoor sports when it’s not in use by the club. The field has a walking reach sound it surrounded by beautiful trees, flowers and edible plants including an abundance of rosemary bushes. This place is usually clean, tidy and has many car parks to use.

Lovely little park. We hired the cricket pavilion via Auckland Council for a small (50 people) corporate event. On a sunny day it was nice to open all the doors and have a meeting effectively in the open air.

Nice place for small functions such as get together, birthday parties. You have to carry your own food. Small play area is available for children.

boring, nothing to do , playground is alright but lacks enjoyment for all ages. However, there are good cricket nets to practice if needed.
