Mission Heights Playground

Mission Heights Playground in Flat Bush, east Auckland, is a well rounded neighbourhood playground on Packspur Drive, with a junior module for toddlers and a hillside slide and flying fox for older kids.

Equipment

A junior play module with a low slide, climbing wall, steps and crawl tunnel suits smaller children, while older kids head for the large hillside slide, a spinning tyre swing, and a flying fox. Swings, an infant swing, a rocktopus, a tubular slide and a basket swing round out the equipment, on an artificial surface with internal paths for trikes and scooters.

Access and Inclusion

A shade sail covers part of the play area over summer, and a kick about grassed area adjoins the play zone.

Practical Info

Picnic tables and seating sit on site, with a bush section of the wider reserve containing ponds. On street parking serves the playground.
