Why these ages?

Multi-play climbing structure with slide, swings with infant seat, and a flying fox that a reviewer notes is 'lower off the ground - accessible for a range of children'. Woodchip surface. Open lawn surrounding equipment good for run-around. No dedicated fenced junior zone. Grimseys Rd parking is on a suburban Christchurch street, not arterial. A reviewer flags off-leash dogs as a recurring issue (a supervision consideration, not structural). Adequate for primary-age; limited tween appeal beyond the flying fox.

+ Accessible toilet on site- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

The play area sits on a woodchip surface, a barrier for wheels, but a visitor review specifically describes the public toilets as wheelchair accessible. Parking is on the main road rather than a dedicated accessible bay.

Huge open space for everyone to play games, run around, or enjoy being still. Access to toilets, as well as the Northern Cycleway.

Visited to walk my miniature dogs. Love the forest, tree settings in a couple of areas. Playground for the kiddies. Big field and park area for walking. Friendly people. Nice area.

I have always liked this park. Good playground, toilets & lots of space. BUT the last 6 months or so there have been heaps of off leash dogs that are no way under control by their owners. I have a reactive dog (who is always on leash), and I have gotten to the point that if I want to walk him at the park it needs to be almost dark. Too many incidents of off leash dogs rushing us and owners not caring.

This is an awesome park. The flying fox is accessible for a range of children as it is lower off the ground. Good grounds to kick a ball or walk. Parking on the main road. Toilets are central to the playground and there is a drinking fountain directly next to the toilets.

Kids, instead of being dragged to parks like this on a weekend, stream Fortnite on Twitch! You can make $100k a month, tell ya parents, well, maybe just dad, he doesn't want to have to go to the park either.

Great for footy training, field can get messed up bad after it's been raining and the ground is all bumpy.
