The playground is awesome. However, because it's next to a cafe that lacks some basic serving skills, I gave it a 4. I don't think they appreciate what they have. Next time, I'll bring my own coffee and food.

Paerata Playground & Splashpad
16 Jonah Lomu Drive, Paerata 2124
Why these ages?
Splashpad, basket swing, junior slide and tunnel are explicitly rated for toddlers on artificial surfacing, and the destination-scale layout keeps small ones engaged for hours. Water is a designed shallow splashpad, not a drowning hazard. Tubular tower with slide, climbing net, slalom poles and spring surfboards extend appeal to primary-age; some tween appeal via the tower and climb. On-site parking and picnic seating support easy family visits.
