Why these ages?

Infant swing bay, basket swing and junior multi-play with slide give toddlers their own way in and reviewers repeatedly call it toddler-friendly and safe. Flying fox, supernova spinner and rotating climbing net keep primary-aged kids engaged. Opens straight onto Mahurangi foreshore - shallow tidal beach is a real supervision factor for under-4s despite the reserve being set on the grass.

Accessibility
Partial access
- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

The description explicitly says the play surface is bark, a hard barrier for wheelchair users, and there is no mention of accessible parking or toilets.

The playground on Sunrise Boulevard in Snells Beach, north of Auckland, sits right on the Mahurangi foreshore, and it packs a flying fox, a supernova spinner and a rotating climbing net onto a reserve that opens straight onto the beach. It suits primary school aged children best, with a basket swing and infant swing giving toddlers their own way in.

Good place to play and chill with whānau. Minus 1 ⭐️ because the toilets needs more managing.

Snells Beach reserve with children's playground. Great beach for younger children as the bottom slopes gently away. Small but interesting playground with toilet facilities adjacent.
