Why these ages?

Compact community square with infant swing, small carousel, junior multi-play with interactive panels, balance logs on bark. Suits toddlers through primary. But on-street angle parking runs directly alongside the park with no fence between the play area and vehicles. Mature oaks provide shade. Fine for a quick local stop, needs parent close for wandering toddlers due to road proximity.

Access notes

On street angle parking with mobility spaces sits directly alongside the park, a clearly stated accessible feature. The play equipment itself is set on a bark surface though, a barrier for wheels, and there are no public toilets on site.

Queens Square is a medium-sized playground in Hastings, set on a bark surface with a compact but varied mix of equipment suited to toddlers through primary-school-aged children. A small carousel anchors the play area alongside a slide, an infant swing, a junior multi-play structure with interactive panels, and a set of balance logs, giving younger children plenty to explore on a small site. The reserve sits in the Community category of Hastings District Council's park network.

Nice little square with a small children's play area in one corner. Plenty of trees and some seats and bbq tables to enjoy a family lunch. No toilet facilities at this location. A beautiful little square block untouched by houses.

A nice quite basic little park to sit and eat the fish and chips in the shade. A square grassed park with mature oaks around the perimeter. A couple of swings and a slide and three or four exercise machines for the kids.
