Windsor Park

Windsor Park's playground in the Parkvale neighbourhood is one of Hastings' larger builds, with a fenced junior area that keeps toddlers well away from the senior climbing structure and rope net next door. It suits a wide age range in the same visit, from a pirate ship and toddler train inside the fence to a full climbing net and rocker outside it.

Equipment

Inside the fenced zone, younger children have a pirate ship with a slide, a toddler train with tunnels, an infant swing and a basket swing. The open playground adds a senior multi play climbing structure, a full climbing net, seesaws and a rocker for primary schoolers after more of a physical challenge.

Practical Info

Public toilets, a drinking fountain, a barbecue and picnic tables sit on site, with off street parking right at the park. The playground is next to a separate water park facility, a natural extension for family visits in warm weather. Established trees offer shade over seating and picnic tables, though most of the play equipment itself sits in the open.
