Randwick Park

Randwick Park in South Auckland is a small, well kept playground within a large community sports park, built around a multi play structure with a slide, swings with an infant bay, and a separate climbing structure. It suits toddlers and junior primary schoolers rather than a destination visit for older kids.

Equipment

The multi play structure and slide anchor the site, with the infant swing bay and a standalone climbing structure rounding out the equipment on a bark surface. There's no shade directly over the play equipment or seating.

History and Cultural

Randwick Park holds the Green Flag Community Award, an international mark of a quality park, won in the 2022 to 2023 round in partnership with RPSC Trust and For A Cause Ltd, recognising the park's horticulture, sustainability and community involvement.

Practical Info

The car park is off Riverton Drive, with on street parking also available and open grassy areas around the playground for picnics.
