Why these ages?

Sits directly beside the Hutt River on the Hutt River Trail (water risk, no fence) and a reviewer explicitly says 'Not really suitable for toddlers, taller children would love it though, as the fort and slides were quite high up'. Only one infant swing for the 2-4 crowd. Better for confident 5-9 year olds who can handle the taller fort and slides. Tweens will find it too small.

- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

Description explicitly states the play surface is bark chip, a barrier for wheelchair users. Off street parking is available nearby, but no accessible parking or firm path is confirmed.

The brand new playground at Riverside Park certainly adds to the area. The pak has big open spaces too. Good for a bit of exercise, or just to sit and chill out.

Nice clean park. No shade for the equipment though, so the black plastic was firecracker hot in the midday sun. Not really suitable for toddlers, taller children would love it though, as the fort and slides were quite high up. Climbing equipment was pretty neat. One standard adult swing and one kids seat with a chain belt. Spinning platform stick thing. The fort has 2 slides, one of them is a double slide. Also a Fireman's pole, abseiling climb, couple of ladders. Needs some shade and something for the little kids. Otherwise recommend.

Went there for an event which was fantastic. Only problem was there was broken glass bottles on the grass that definitely needed to be picked up with the amount of kids there that day.

I enjoy the green strip at the back of house. Much prefer this to walking right beside the motorway.
