Riverside Reserve

Riverside Reserve is a medium sized playground in central Nelson alongside the Maitai River, with a rocktopus, a disk rocker, a slide and swings including an infant seat within a fenced junior area.

Practical Info

A seasonal paddling pool operates on site, and the adjacent swimming pool charges its own entry fee. Tree shade covers some of the equipment, one picnic table and the spectator area. On street parking is available, and the reserve connects into Nelson's Maitai River green corridor, downstream from the Botanical Reserve set aside in 1858.
