Ruataniwha Playground

Ruataniwha Playground is a small neighbourhood playground on Ruataniwha Drive in Collingwood, the northernmost town in the South Island and gateway to Farewell Spit and Kahurangi National Park.

Equipment

The playground has swings, a slide and a steam engine climbing piece, on a bark surface, with the steam engine and junior swing suiting younger children.

Access and Inclusion

There is no shade for the play equipment or seating. On-street parking serves the site.

Practical Info

Seating is on site for accompanying adults. Tasman District Council keeps the playground smokefree, and Collingwood is reached via the Golden Bay Highway from Takaka.
