Unsworth Reserve - playground

Why these ages?

Multiple reviewers explicitly flag equipment as scaled for 7+ - 'ladder rungs too widely spaced' for a physically-competent nearly-3yo, 'suitable only for children 7 or 8 years old and older'. Infant swing exists but the multi-play, supernova spinner and basket swing dominate. A pond sits on the paved path through the reserve (water risk, at some distance from the play area). Not a toddler let-them-loose spot.

Accessibility
Partial access

Access notes

Description explicitly states wide, pram friendly paths link the playground to nearby amenities and a car park off Caribbean Drive, but the play surface is a mix of artificial and bark, a barrier for wheelchair users.

Equipment

Unsworth Reserve's playground in Unsworth Heights combines a multi play structure with a slide, a supernova spinner, a see saw with spring and a basket swing, with swings that include an infant bay for toddlers. A half basketball court and outdoor fitness equipment sit alongside, and a paved path past a pond extends the visit beyond the playground itself.

The park is surrounded by quiet neighborhoods, so it's a peaceful place to relax. There is also a good stretch of bicycle path, a scenic pond along the path, a baseball field, and a mini playground. The park is dog-friendly, but dogs must be on a leash at all times. However, not everyone seems to follow this rule, and there are often dog droppings on the ground. The mat slide was also in a very unclean state. There is no parking in or in front of the park, but there are side roads where you can park your vehicle and walk. The neighbors of the park could make this place a heaven if they could follow common etiquette. Overall, Unsworth Reserve - Playground is a great place to spend a day with your family

This is supposedly a newly built playground community. It's located inside the complex, near a sports field and a walking path. The playground's design is poor, with a very challenging layout, suitable only for children 7 or 8 years old and older. It's also unsafe. There are adult fitness equipment nearby. The walking path leads into a small forest for a short hike; children under 7 can cycle through this path. It's more fun than the playground.

Big space left unused. Some exercise equipments and children's play area. Good bypass to Rosedale. Pond is left unnoticed. Could maintain better. Hope council bring some life to this place
