Why these ages?

Reviewer explicitly warns about the main road boundary and needing to stop young ones running out. Fanshawe and Victoria St West are busy CBD arterials, though the play area sits well inside the park so distance provides some buffer. Rockers, seesaw and swings work for toddlers under close eye; tuatara climbing frame, small flying fox and climbing net suit primary age. Skate park adjacent.

Access notes

Description explicitly states the flat reclaimed ground is easy going for buggies and wheelchairs, and accessible toilets sit next to the playground. A review corroborates this, saying the park is wheelchair accessible. Street parking is available nearby too.

Equipment

Victoria Park Playground sits inside one of Auckland's oldest inner-city parks, with a climbing net, a small flying fox, and a climbing frame built around a sculpted tuatara giving the play area real character for a central city stop.

Great inner city space for playing sports and relaxation. There are good restrooms available. Bus services stop across the road. Several restaurants available across the road.. Or If you want to picnic there are large tables and benches there to use.. Would I come here again 🤔 Most definitely 👍👍

An nice playground with great playground equipment for children of all ages and for guardians, there are well shaded picnic tables and benches overlooking the playground area. Being on Victoria Park also allows children to run around and play various ball games. The public transport and toilets nearby are also handy. The main negative is that the playground itself is not well shaded - it wouldn't be much fun on hot sunny days.

Great playground. Plenty of things to do for all ages. Only downside, none of the playground has any shade. On a sunny day it is very exposed and hot. Would be good for some sun shades in some areas. Clean and tidy. Plenty of bench seats. Close to public transport.

A nice playground for children as well as adults who are young at heart. Located next to the Victoria Park, and have several benches for you to seat while watching your children play around. Have a public toilet strategically located next …

A good little park to bring your kids. It is quite close to the main road though so is a little noise and you will want to make sure your young ones don't run out of the park boundary. Usually have to pay for parking though.

It's a nice park! When i was living in NZ I was lucky enough to live in a house right across the road from the park. It also has a great view of the Sky Tower! The area it's in seems to be deserted, but its only few meters away from Wynard Quarter and New World. An also a few meters away from Paneton( bakery).
