Vogeltown Playground

Vogeltown Playground on Carrington Street is a small, bark surfaced playground in the Vogeltown suburb of New Plymouth, close to the Huatoki Walkway.

History and Cultural

The suburb takes its name from Sir Julius Vogel, prime minister in the 1870s and a champion of large scale public works, and grew as New Plymouth expanded inland through the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Off street parking is available nearby, and the playground connects directly to the Huatoki Walkway for a longer stroll. New Plymouth District Council operates a smokefree policy across the site.
