Amazing playground and sports field. So much space to run like crazy or casually walk anyhow. Loved the paper-bark trees growing there. We took some for fun to draw on. It was absolutely beautiful.

Walton Park Playground
Walton Park Avenue, Fairfield, Dunedin 9018
Why these ages?
Infant swing and multi-play with slide serve toddlers, and the Fairfield skatepark plus pump track on the sunnier north side of the reserve, along with flat asphalt paths for scooting, keep older kids and tweens engaged. Nearby estuary and wetlands add water hazard. Not fenced, skate is on the same site so toddlers need close supervision.
Access notes
Flat asphalt paths run through the grounds close to the playground, but the equipment itself sits on a mix of bark and artificial surfacing, a barrier for wheels in the bark sections. No accessible parking or toilet is specifically described.
