Why these ages?

Two-tier layout — junior multi-play sized for under-5s alongside a larger structure — plus basket swing, horse rocker and the rare parent-child expression swing on matta-tile softfall. Reviewer says 'awesome place for kids of all ages'. Skatepark elsewhere in Rawhiti Domain, not through the play area. No adjacent water or arterial road; New Brighton beach is a few blocks away not at the play edge. Excellent supervision-friendly mix.

Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible
+ Poured rubber surface (firm for wheels)+ Step-free path to the play
Access notes

Description states directly that the play surface is matta tiles rather than bark or woodchip, calling it a softer surfacing choice that suits wheelchair users and unsteady walkers better than loose fill, with off street parking on site.

This was a fantastic privately funded project that build the area. Its now been handed over to the Christchurch City Council. I go regularly with my grandson and he has a great time playing on the log climbs, slide and flying fox. Its an awesome place for kids of all ages

This playground is a beautiful example of how nature can be seamlessly integrated into play spaces for children. Using natural materials like logs and tree stumps, it creates a unique and engaging environment that encourages exploration and imaginative play. The minimal use of plastic not only reduces environmental impact but also enhances the rustic, organic feel of the playground. It's a perfect space for children to connect with nature while having fun.

Great spot to play. Something different in the trees. And has a parent child swing, first time I seen one of these in all the playgrounds we’ve been too. Definitely worth a visit here
