HistoryThe Rotary rose garden at Aotea Lagoon's southern end was established in the 1980s. During the 2024, 25 south-end renewal, roses were gifted to Porirua Rotary for fundraising and some transplanted to Whenua Tapu Cemetery; 4000 bricks were sold by Rotary; and old seats and tables were gifted to local schools. The project was constructed by John Fillmore Contracting and completed mid-2025.
