Buckland Road Playground

Buckland Road Playground opened in Tuakau in October 2024, next to Tuakau College, with an inclusive equipment mix that punches above the weight of a typical small-town reserve. Equipment includes an inground carousel, inground trampolines, swings including a basket swing and infant swing, a multi-play structure with tubular slide and interactive panels, all on an artificial surface.

Equipment

The inground trampolines and carousel are accessible to children with limited mobility, and the basket swing suits toddlers or a parent riding alongside a younger child. The multi-play structure and interactive panels round out play for primary school age children.

Access and Inclusion

The site is flat, open and easy to navigate with a pram or wheelchair, with the accessible carousel and basket swing making it a solid choice for families of mixed ages or abilities.

Practical Info

There are no toilets at the reserve itself. Parking is available on Buckland Road and surrounding streets, and shade sails cover the picnic table.
