Why these ages?

Small neighbourhood playground explicitly described as 'suited to primary school aged children' - multi-play with slides, balance beams and logs on bark. No dedicated junior zone or infant swing mentioned, so toddler score is low. A review notes 'playing stuffs are quite old, need maintenance'. Not fenced. Half basketball court adds tween appeal but limited. Off-street parking and connection to Henderson Creek shared path are pluses. Central Park Drive is a secondary street, not arterial.

Access notes

Description explicitly states the playground connects by path to the Henderson Creek Shared Path, giving a level route for prams, scooters and bikes, and off street parking serves the site. But the equipment sits on a bark safety surface, which blocks a full wheelchair accessible rating.

I visited Central Park with my family on this weekend and we had a good time. The park is spacious and well-maintained, with plenty of greenery, but only few shades. There are benches where you can relax and enjoy the view. The park also has a playground for kids but the playing stuffs are quit old need maintenance. The only downside is that the park can get quite busy and noisy at times, especially when there are events at the arena. Parking can also be a challenge, so I recommend taking public transport or walking if possible. Overall, I would recommend Central Park to anyone looking for a healthier exercise or outdoor play field.

Beautiful place to go for run. There is a kids play area with swings and slides. Toilets are available on the other end of the stadium.

Popped in here to get our covid vaccination as a family bubble. It had been raining heavily, but by the time we arrived at the Trust Stadium carpark, it was a light shower. Because of the bad weather, everything had been moved indoors, yay! But you know what, you felt the mana and aroha, throughout the entire experience. Kia kaha, Te Whanau O Waipareira whanau, for all your unrelenting mahi and aroha. Ki te pai! Meitaki maata!
