Equipment

Harbourview-Orangihina Park is less a neighbourhood playground than a genuine wild edge of Auckland: 85 hectares of intertidal flats, salt marsh and coastal grassland on the eastern side of Te Atatū Peninsula, with a compact play area tucked into a much bigger landscape.

We had so much fun over the weekend at the Extravaganza! Really enjoy the stunning view, chill music and yummy food there. Perfect for kids to play and explore, so much fun for them. It was a sunny and warm day, spent almost whole day there. Highly recommend!!

Such a beautiful park reserve right on my doorstep. I love coming here for walks in the early mornings to catch the sunrise and again in the evenings to enjoy the sunset. It’s peaceful, grounding, and a real gem in the neighbourhood. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys nature, a prestine walk and breathtaking views of the Harbour Bridge, Auckland Skycity and the CBD. I also like to do my bit to help keep it tidy by picking up any rubbish I see, that’s been blown around by the wind or scattered by seagulls. A place worth caring for 🌅🌿🥰

A lovely spot for a walk in nature. Wonderful view of Auckland. Plenty of space to lie down on the grass.

Beautiful views of CBD without the buzz. Tranquil walk, partly exposed to wind and with it the rain at times as the path is undulating. To me that made the walk interesting and invigorating as it was a rather nasty winter day. Orangihina is …

Nice Walkway. Couple of stairs, but 90% flat and mixture of gravel and concrete path.

Beautiful open space with views of Auckland city and bridge. Shops handy and easy access of western motorway. Haven't done the walks yet, but definitely planned for the very near future 🙂 …

An amazingly beautiful place. From the car park near the roundabout, it's about a 25 to 30 minute walk to the point. The walk is a very wide stoney path, and flat. You can also bike it very easily. The views are definitely worth it, and there is a swimmable beach at the end. There's also quite a nice block of shops near the roundabout, for drinks after the walk!

Excellent parking spot for travelers and locals, well away from any noisy streets, and a great view out to the waitemata harbour. The car parks mostly suit small cars only. There is limited space for large vehicles but it can be a bit rough and muddy.
