Why these ages?

Infant swing, junior slide and gentle embankment slide give toddlers dedicated equipment; large shade sails cover the play area which is unusual and useful. Climbing frame and basket swing extend to primary age. Reviews call it 'a little playground' so tween appeal is modest. Not adjacent to any road, water or skate hazard - sits within a vast reserve.

Access notes

Description explicitly states accessible toilets sit right at the playground. Parking is general across three car parks with no accessible designation stated, and no path, surface or transfer equipment is described.

Equipment

Keith Hay Park is one of Auckland's largest reserves, a sprawling sports ground in Mount Roskill where the southern playground gives families a full age range of equipment under generous shade sails, a rare comfort on this exposed, open site.

Nice place to have a evening walk and get fresh air. There are cricket nets and cricket field if you are planning to play some cricket. And there is plenty of space to do any kinda sport or activity. Marvellous place to freshen up your mind and experience nice and cool view. You also can find football field over there at the corner.

Thank you so much to the Auckland Council for removing every single rubbish bin and a big thanks to the Cricket community plying here every weekend during summer and leave the their rubbing everywhere … I’m glad your season is over and the kids can play football without your rubbish all over the place 😒 …
