Why these ages?

Infant swing, spring toy, bowl rocker and slide suit younger children while the half basketball court and climbing net give older kids more to do. Reviews mention a flying fox and a range of swing types described as a hit for all ages. No fencing is mentioned in the source.

Access notes

The description states the surface is artificial rather than loose fill, and a review independently describes even terrain across the reserve with parking close by. No accessible parking bay, accessible toilet or transfer station is named in the source text, so this stops short of full access confirmation.

Brand new rebuild, Dec 2024. It has got to be one of the best playgrounds in Wellington now! Great for kids of all ages.

Clean and so much space on even terrain to run about. Can park close by and the dog exercise area is separated by a fence. There are bits for all ages and plenty of picnic tables and benches .

It's alright. Some of the kids play area needs an update / refurbishment. Nice large field to play on and a single basketball hoop, though its stuck in a corner where rain water pools creating a mini swamp around the hoop. Some idiot locals haven't figured out that the swings are for kids, not grown ups.

My nostalgia cries out to this place. Been going here since a kid, it is a little run down now, and something needs to be done to save it. Decor on the playground is faded, and scratched. Some playground equipment is broken, and some doesn't function as it should. Needs a full upgrade to bring people back to this gem of an area.

A very average reserve. I guess it’s better than nothing in the area but it’s a shame. I reckon the reserve could be greatly improved .
