Why these ages?

Headland park with cliffs and a rock-shelf beach directly below - unfenced. Toddler kit (infant swing, spring toys, junior multi-play, push train) is genuine but the surrounding terrain forces full parent attention. Flying fox, space net and embankment slides make it a strong primary-age play with harbour views. Note: full rebuild in progress, due back November 2026.

Access notes

Description explicitly states the park entrance is accessible with marked mobility parks and an accessible toilet block by the car park, and a review independently confirms the playground itself is wheelchair accessible.

Coyle Park crowns a headland at Point Chevalier, wrapped in pohutukawa, harbour views and a rock shelf beach that appears at low tide, with a playground normally built around a flying fox, space net and rope climbing frame. The equipment is currently closed for a full rebuild, due back by mid November 2026, while the wider park and beach stay open.

I love the access and little walk from the beach up to the park. It's a gorgeous place to spend the late afternoon/sunset. The walking tracks are peaceful and lovely. A decent kids playground too.

Lovely playground right next to the Point Chev beach. There is the usual playground, lots of slices, a mini push train and a flying fox too which the adults can enjoy too. Quite safe and a huge grassy area as well for other games

Nice playground here, there is a flying fox.......its not a fast one. It has a train, which is the fastest one I've seen in Auckland. A climbing tower, 4 swings, 4 slides and some cool art installations. There are public toilets and there is also a nice view of the Harbor Bridge.

Clean and plenty of space for the kids. With the beach being near by and the shops just down the road.

Very good playground at Coyle Park. Train ride, flying fox, rope climbs, interactive matching game, lizard and similar sculptures, etc. Any age from toddler and up. Lots of areas for gatherings and picnics. Parking can be busy. Views of water to die for
