Why these ages?
Junior multi-play with slide, infant swing and ball catchers give toddlers something, but the reserve sits on Lake Rotorua's shore with a beach and an Otauira wetland (water risk) plus is off State Highway 2 (road risk). One reviewer calls the playground '5+', another says lake water is nice for a swim. No fencing described. Primary kids get slides, swings, ball catchers and lakeside space. Tweens will find the play equipment thin unless swimming.
Access notes
Description names a wheelchair accessible boardwalk crossing the wetland with off street parking on site, but a review reports the boardwalk was unsafe with overgrown weeds and standing water either side, so the on site route is not consistently maintained.
What's here
Hannahs Bay Reserve on Lake Rotorua's eastern shore has a junior-friendly playground with slides, swings including an infant swing, a multi-play structure with a slide, ball catchers, and its own junior multi-play structure, set within a lakeside reserve next to the beach.
