Lakefront Playground sits right on the edge of Lake Rotorua on Lakefront Drive, and it is one of the largest, most generously equipped free play spaces in the Bay of Plenty. Dual flying foxes, a tubular novelty slide, and a full swing bank make it a genuine destination for ages 1 to 14, not just a stopover.

This is such a lovely playground. It spans quite a distance along the waterfront. There is lots for kids to do and for various ages and stages. The view out to the waterfront is really lovely. We enjoyed watching the seaplane and helicopter fly in and out. The grounds are well maintained and they have toilets available too. The tearrific truck and coffee truck are a nice addition to stop for a drink on your way out.

Love it! Landscaping is beautiful, looks well looked after, like the environment is tidy. Public toilets and the rubbish area is also clean. Nice big playground with a half of a basketball court on the side. Open eating areas. Lake front walk is right there. The Waka is also there in a beautifully designed display room. There are plenty of parking spots available. Enjoy and tidy up after yourselves. My siblings liked it, so I'm sure your kids will as well.

Lovely setting. Would be nice if their were more for younger children with more shades area and table and chairs to sit. Also better signage for the parent rooms. Not to mention the awful smell coming from the toilets.
