Why these ages?

Simple older-style playground with infant swing, low multi-play, see-saw and spring toys — reviewer says 'simple and suited to younger children'. Paddling pool alongside is a genuine water hazard for an unsupervised toddler but it's a separate defined pool feature within the gated park (6am-10pm). Ramp access is great for prams. Harbour view but Shelly Beach Rd bridge and water are the other side of the reserve.

Access notes

Description explicitly names a ramp for level access into the play area for wheelchairs, plus off street parking with mobility spaces, but it also states the play surface itself is bark, a real barrier despite the ramped entry.

Point Erin Playground at Te Oka, Pt Erin Park in Westhaven is built around a multi play structure with a slide, swings, an infant swing, a see saw and spring toys, with a ramp for level access into the play area and a paddling pool alongside. It suits toddlers through to primary school age, and the ramp makes it genuinely easy to wheel a pram or wheelchair straight in.

Although it's an older playground it still deserves 5 stars. It is in a pretty location and the playground itself is simple and suited to younger children with a slide, fort and swings (including a toddler swing). Public toilets are available and there is plenty of parking. The large, mature trees provide natural shade for a picnic in the park. #DiscoverFun #Playz #Playground #Shade #Trees

Nice sea view! A small park, the playground and pool are closed (looks like under maintenance)
