The rebuilt playground at Kaka Point sits just a few metres from the beach, making it one of the more dramatically located play spaces anywhere in New Zealand. This small seaside village is tucked into the northern edge of the Catlins, the rugged coastal stretch of South Otago between Balclutha and Invercargill, and the playground anchors a beachfront reserve that the community has long gathered around for picnics, surf sessions, and afternoon walks.
