It's very cold over there with lots of breeze from the sea and many spots to take beautiful photos. The best place to ride bicycles and they have a special trail in between the bushes and also we can walk down the path. The view point is quite high and the bus 20 is the only one which takes you there. And it is not so frequent.
Matairangi Nature Trail - Logs & Slide
Mount Victoria, Wellington 6011
Why these ages?
500m hillside nature play trail through Wellington Town Belt with six native-species habitat stations, treehouse, wobbly bridge, stepping logs, hillside slide. Description explicit: 'best suited to five and over', 'trail quite steep, carrying toddlers on trickier sections advisable'. Excellent child/tween adventure venue. Toddlers can do sections with help. Treehouse height not quantified so no formal tall risk. Steep hillside itself is the main parental load factor.
Access notes
Description says paths are buggy friendly throughout and an alternative accessible path is provided where steps occur near the slide, but it also explicitly calls the trail quite steep overall, a real barrier on a hillside route.
