Best playground for kids. Really well maintained and close to nice restaurants.
Mission Bay Playground
44 Tamaki Drive, Mission Bay, Auckland 1071
Why these ages?
Fenced junior area with infant swings, basket swing, rocktopus, sandpit and sun-shaded toddler climbers — contained zone for free-roaming toddlers. Tamaki Drive is a busy arterial and Mission Bay beach is right there, so the fence is doing critical work. Bigger towers and slides extend appeal to primary and lower-tween. All-weather artificial surface plus modern facilities keep it a top destination pick when parents stay near the fence line.
Access notes
The description states an all-weather artificial surface underfoot, off-street car parking including mobility parks alongside the reserve, and a seawall promenade that suits prams and mobility aids well.
What's here
Mission Bay Playground sits on Selwyn Reserve, right beside one of Auckland's most popular beaches on Tamaki Drive.
