Why these ages?

Fenced junior area with infant swings, basket swing, rocktopus, sandpit and sun-shaded toddler climbers — contained zone for free-roaming toddlers. Tamaki Drive is a busy arterial and Mission Bay beach is right there, so the fence is doing critical work. Bigger towers and slides extend appeal to primary and lower-tween. All-weather artificial surface plus modern facilities keep it a top destination pick when parents stay near the fence line.

Access notes

The description states an all-weather artificial surface underfoot, off-street car parking including mobility parks alongside the reserve, and a seawall promenade that suits prams and mobility aids well.

Best playground for kids. Really well maintained and close to nice restaurants.

This playground has evolved in the last decade. The facilities are brand new. However I do prefer the older version without the sandpit tunnel.

Great for active kids from toddlers and up. The free carpark usually has spots available, awesome well maintained playground with loads of options. The beach is right there, park benches and tables, nice park for picnics, and if theres no wind you can be on the beach any time of year. The walkway along the beach is great for scooters/bikes (just watch out for some uneven patches where the roots have pulled up the concrete). If you forget lunch theres lots to eat - i take my 2.5yr old to burger fuel for chicken tenders ☺️

Quite a nice playground by the carpark for Mission Bay. It is also near Azabu. There are a few different things to play on which caters for different ages. It is quite big and it was quite busy when we went even though it was overcast. It was a nice was to get the kids to spend their energy.

First time visiting the newly revamped playground. So much better than the previous version and the sun shades are a very welcome addition.

Nice spot for a summer's picnic while the kids play on the playground. Plenty of shade under the Pohutukawa trees and a beautiful view👌🏽 …
