Pop 'n' Good Playground is the flagship play destination in Te Awamutu's Pioneer Park, reached from Selwyn Lane, and one of the largest playgrounds in the Waipa district.
Equipment
The very large site has a tower with tubular and embankment slides, a flying fox, water play and a sandpit, a hamster wheel, an inground carousel, a learn to ride track and pump track, swings including a basket swing, an infant swing and a you and me swing, inground trampolines, a see saw, a spinner and musical play. A fenced junior area has its own basket swing, infant swing, junior multi play structure, musical play, spring toy and water play.
Access and Inclusion
The fenced junior area gives families with mixed ages a self contained space for toddlers while older children use the bigger equipment. Angle parking is available on Selwyn Lane, and the site sits next to Te Awamutu's swimming pool complex, which charges its own entry fee.
Practical Info
Picnic tables are on site, and Waipa District Council's smokefree policy applies. The pump track and learn to ride circuit extend a visit for families with cyclists.
