Why these ages?

Fully fenced toddler area with water play, junior slide, basket swing, spring toy and climbing mound. Reviews confirm 'fully fenced playground for small kids' and separate area for older kids outside fence. Sealed loop path suits trikes/scooters. Some critical of tall swings, but perimeter fence dominates parent cognitive load = low. Not much for tweens.

Access notes

Description notes a sealed loop path and artificial surface throughout, corroborated by a review calling the paths flat and good for scooting, but another review says the slide sits on a small hill that is hard for kids to climb, a steep barrier for wheelchair users reaching that piece.

Park is okay - the toddler area has swings that are too big and don’t have the safety belt. The slide is on the little hill Which is a little hard for kids to climb. Probably a better playground for older kids around 5+ not bad just not amazing either. The other sad part is the bike pump track is gone :(

Great park with all the facilities you want. Playground, water, bike track and seats for picnics. Lots of parking too. Can spend a good day there with kids.

This place is great, one of the things looked like they were about to break down. Swings were tall so you might have to help your child get on. There was a water toy that was broken. A lot of doors around the fence. The toilets were quite clean no water on the floor. Great place.

Great open space to escape the confines of cabin fever 😁. Nice flat paths for the kids to scoot and a playground to enjoy …

One of our regular haunts at the moment with a mix of easy to challenging activities for toddlers. The swings have no harness so not suitable for younger toddlers but the slides are safe and interesting, with an excellent hill to climb to get up there, complete with climbing-wall holds to assist little feet and hands. There's a waterfall feature which can be fun if you can be bothered spending the time to fill up the reservoir. The wooden beams and stepping poles appear to be surprisingly enjoyable. Car parks and toilets right next to it.

Good idea with the fenced playground with shade, but the equipment is very underwhelming and nothing is suitable for young toddlers. No baby swing and the round swing is gone. Large grassy area with nothing on it, apparently there used to be a pump track, but that's gone now.

Good fully fenced playground space for small kids, has 2 swings, slide & water feature. Some other playground equipment outside of fenced area for older kids. Has public toilets as well

Nice new park in Long Bay, Auckland. Fabulous sea views from the end of the walkway. Playground has fenced area for the little ones and a few obstacle areas and activities outside for 4-8 year olds. There is a network of paths which are popular with local walkers and are great for kids learning to cycle/scoot/skate etc.

Great new playground with fenced toddler park (swings, climbing hill, slides, water play feature) and park for older kids (sprung seesaw, climbing frame, balance blocks and rotating cradle swing) and lookout point with views across the gulf.

Fabulous views out across Long Bay Beach to the Hauraki Gulf and islands and Coromandel in the distance. Well maintained grounds and a perfectly positioned bench to sit and take in the views. You can also walk from Ridge Park across the fields and down to the Long Bay Regional Park.
