Rotary Playground

Rotary Playground is a small, fenced play area on the Paihia foreshore, built around a multi play structure with slide and swings with an infant seat, sized for toddlers through to early primary age within a bark surfaced, enclosed space.

A multi play structure with slide forms the centrepiece, paired with swings that include a dedicated infant seat. The play area is fenced, and a bark surface runs underfoot.

Access and Inclusion

The fenced boundary is the site's main access feature, letting younger children move freely inside a contained space while caregivers watch from the seating provided. On street angle parking sits directly outside, and the site is level and adjacent to the beach.

Practical Info

Seating is available within the fenced area. Large shade sails cover most of the play equipment, though seating itself is not shaded. The playground predates 2013 and sits within Paihia's beach reserve, managed under the Far North District Council's parks and reserves smokefree policy.
