Why these ages?

Large multi-age destination in Kerikeri Domain with wheelchair-accessible carousel, basket + infant swings, spring toys AND tall towers, flying fox, inground trampoline, skatepark and adjacent water play. Genuinely inclusive design and rubber pathway are toddler-positive, but sheer scale plus water park/skate/tall slide push cognitive load up. Fantastic once kids can be trusted between zones.

Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible
+ Poured rubber surface (firm for wheels)+ Step-free path to the play+ Wheel-on roundabout / carousel+ Supportive swing seat (high-back, basket or nest)+ Ramped play platform
Access notes

Description states a smooth rubber surface connects a wheelchair accessible carousel, a basket swing, and ramped sections of the main structure, a genuinely inclusive accessible zone, though the separate traditional swing area sits on bark away from this route.

What a lovely, beautiful, well-thought-out, excellent public park! The vast amount of space to accommodate most sports, the half pipe, the washrooms, a cute water park beside the library, and that giant slide. My partner is 6'2 (1.87m) and when they stood next to the slide it very quickly shrunk them. That's how tall the slide is! How incredible but also kinda absurd at the same time. I mean, is it actually safe to go down a slide from that height? Not to mention that the slide is enclosed. Idk man. But if it wasn't meant to be used in the first place it makes a beautiful sculpture. I'd post a picture of the slide with my partner next to it but I also don't want to post a picture of them on the World Wide Web without their consent. So you'll just have to take my word for it. And I'm Canadian, so don't worry, I'm very trustworthy! 😉

This is a great place for the whole family of all ages. Close to shops & cafes. It also has toilets and park benches, open spaces to run or walk your dog or yourself & children. It also has trees if you just want to sit in the shade and …

What an awesome playground and skatepark in the middle of Kerkeri. The playground has a big slide you need to climb up through the tower to go down. Flying fox, swings and others. Lots of grass area to kick a ball or run around. Parking on the street, with a Public Toilet as well. The kids were entertained for hours

30 minutes away from Paihia, Keri Keri is a beautiful township which has got a reasonable city center with some good shops and restaurants. You will find Subway, Domino's, McDonald and other nice takeaways out there.

Great children's park, our grand children enjoyed it, lots for them to play on here while we watch in scattered seating provided around the playground. We brought fish and chips and had a great lunch break there luckily getting on one of the tables with seats.
