To be honest, I expected a bit more. What a pity! The sensory wall is quite nice, as is the small music wall. However, I would have hoped for more than just tree trunks to climb.

Access notes
This is a nature play park built around large logs, rocks and recycled tunnels rather than manufactured structures, which points to uneven natural ground rather than a firm accessible surface.
What's here
Te Kohanga Taiao is a sensory nature play park on Brooker Avenue in Burwood, set on former earthquake red zone land as part of the Avon-Otakaro ecological corridor. The Maori name translates as a nature-based learning environment, and the park lives up to that concept with its focus on native ecology and child-led discovery.
