Why these ages?

Description explicitly warns: 'playground is not fully fenced given its waterfront position, so close supervision near the water's edge is worth keeping in mind'. Right on the Whangarei Town Basin marina - deep boat-berth water immediately adjacent. Big drawback for parents of 2-4yos who bolt. Excellent inclusive equipment otherwise: accessibility swing, wheelchair-friendly inground trampolines, musical panels, artificial safety surface, shade sails, tubular novelty slide. Reviewer notes 'particularly suitable for toddlers' - but that's from supervised parents, not a let-them-loose read.

Description explicitly says the artificial surface is smooth for wheelchairs and prams throughout, the inground trampolines were designed for wheelchair use, and nearby toilets have upgraded mobility facilities.

Right on the Whangarei Town Basin marina foreshore, this large waterfront playground is the one most Northland families visit first, sitting beside Clapham's Clock Museum with the Hatea Loop Walkway running past and cafes and boat berths a short walk away. It suits ages zero to twelve, with a very large and varied equipment set that opened within the last five years.

Kid and I absolutely loved this Playground and frankly it was amazing. All different sorts of things tomplay on for different aged and a decent amount of seats and shade. I'd encourage coming super earlyz we were there between 8-11am and it was still quite full. There are little trampolines which are such a cute addition. Our kids played here longer than any other playground we have ever been to.

Ample parking, beautiful location, Two slides (1 big and 1 small), multiple rope walk/climb options, fair seating benches. Probably some more swings can keep it more entertaining, considering the large premise available.

Nice playground that is well maintained and has sunshades, which is really good on a hot day. It has slides, swings, climbing frames that are suitable for different ages. It has soft safety floor, which makes it safer if they fall. They even have umbrellas by the benches for adults to rest and watch. Toilets next to it
