Why these ages?

Junior multi-play with baby slide, shade sails over the junior section, dedicated toddler area, basket swing and an interactive water play zone (splash, not drowning-scale). Reviewer: 'water play to toddlers playground to big kids playground even mum & dad can jump in'. Sky swing for 12+ and larger climbing structures extend to older kids and tweens. Set inside a 48ha reserve well back from Fergusson Drive. Hutt River is well within the wider park boundary but not adjacent to the play area. One reviewer wanted perimeter fencing.

woof! Hands-down my favourite hangout! I drag my humans here for ‘exercise’ (mostly for them, let’s be honest), make new friends, and indulge in a smorgasbord of sniffing delights. Maximum tail-wagging drama guaranteed. Five paws up… six if treats appear

Beautiful park with a huge neatly-cut grass surface, bush trails, kids’ playground and a plethora of colourful birds. Also, a stunning view of the surrounding hills and a nearby river.

A lovely playground for kids of all ages and heaps of space for a dog to run around too. There is a waterfall feature kids can play with that’s closer to the carpark however sometimes the water might be shut. Just off the playground, there is a little forest for that added adventure. Loads of parking which makes this such a convenient location for the kids to burn off some energy.

Good 20 min loop walk through Bartons Bush with the dogs. Park has two dog litter bag dispensers and a dog water bowl. Fields are kept weed free, so fewer opportunities for dog bee stings. Good sealed path. All in all, an easy quick walk, often lots of other dogs, which is great for socialization.

Great park. Always has been. New(ish) kids area is cool too. Bush walks always a good time, not too long for little ones either.

Lovely park in the middle of upper hutt suburbs. It backs onto the river with all the hutt river walkways that brings. There are quite a few fields that are used for various weekend sporting events. The lower field is also used for events through the year which can be quite exciting. The playgroud is recnetly renovated and well maintained.

A large and very scenic park. Great for picnics, a run, dog walkings and walking in the bus
