Wattle Downs Esplanade Reserve Playground

On the coastal Reremoana or Wattle Downs Esplanade Reserve, bordering the Manukau Harbour in South Auckland, Wattle Downs Esplanade Reserve Playground is a small neighbourhood playground with a multi-play structure and slide, swings with an infant swing, and a rotonet spinning frame, best suited to toddlers and younger children.

Access and Inclusion

There is no off street car park; families walk in from Aberdeen, Fergy, and Stranraer Crescents, Allerton and Elie Places, Turnberry Drive, or Wattle Farm Road. Picnic tables and seating are available, and the play area sits on a bark surface.

Practical Info

The reserve connects to the Wattle Downs North Path, a coastal walking track, for families wanting to extend the visit along the harbour edge. The playground has served the community since before 2019.
