Awakairangi Park, also known as Awa Kairangi Park or Bridge Park, sits on the Totara Park side of Upper Hutt right beside Te Awa Kairangi, the Hutt River, with a simple tilley tilt rocker for younger children and a riverside loop track that makes it as much a trailhead as a playground. It is the kind of park locals cross a footbridge to reach rather than drive to, built around walking, wheels and simply being outside.
