Why these ages?

Infant swing is the only toddler-specific piece; wooden fortress on soil mounds and flying fox are for older kids per description. No fencing, but Ballinger Drive is quiet residential. Fortress, flying fox and big slide carry good child and tween appeal. Small toddler zone limits toddler score.

Access notes

Description states the wooden fortress structures link two large soil mounds, meaning the centrepiece equipment sits atop mounded terrain rather than flat ground, a barrier for wheelchair users even though the surrounding surface underfoot is artificial. No accessible parking is named, only on street parking, and a review suggests there are no toilets.

Ballinger Park Playground is a medium-sized reserve in Riversdale, Blenheim, where wooden fortress-style structures link two large soil mounds, joined by a flying fox running between them. A slide and a seesaw-style swing sit alongside a standard swing set with an infant swing, giving younger children a way into the space while older kids take on the mounds and flying fox. Open grass around the equipment suits families wanting room for ball games or kite flying alongside the structured play.

Not a bad playground, has a couple of slides and a bridge between the two sides of the playground. Park is sadly full of rubbish. Go to Pollard park instead

Good little Park. Grass needs to be cut more frequently. Also a shade and toilets wouldn't go unnoticed.
