Bodmin Park

Bodmin Park is a neighbourhood playground on Bodmin Terrace in Camborne, one of over 40 playgrounds Porirua City Council maintains across the city, serving the residential streets above the Paremata harbour edge. Equipment is compact: a tubular slide, swings with an infant swing, a shop front and a glider, on a bark and rubber surface.

The infant swing and shop front suit toddlers, while the glider and slide give slightly older children more to do. There is minimal shade, with tree cover over just one of the seats.

Access and Inclusion

The playground sits on the upper streets of Camborne, above reserves with easier access lower down the hill, giving families in this part of the suburb a genuinely local option rather than a drive.

On-street parking is available on or near Bodmin Terrace. Karehana Bay Beach in Plimmerton and Plimmerton Beach are both a short drive south for families wanting to extend the visit.
