Jellie Park Playground
295 Ilam Road, Burnside, Christchurch 8053
Why these ages?
Infant swing suits toddlers but larger complex has adjacent skatepark, pool and lake — parents cannot let toddlers roam free. Ilam Road frontage is major arterial. Reviewer confirms best age 3-10 and older kids bike around lake/skate. Wide equipment mix (rocktopus, flying-fox glide, spinner, seesaw) plus skate ramps carry into tween.
Access notes
The description explicitly states the play area is surfaced in bark and woodchip across its full footprint, a barrier for wheelchair users trying to reach the equipment. Off street parking is available but is not described as accessible specifically, and no step free path is mentioned.
