Why these ages?

Elephant slide has a gentler pitch and there's an infant swing, giving toddlers something safe - but Harewood Road runs along the boundary (arterial), a skate bowl sits on that side, and there's a 'super high' slide plus flying fox that need supervision. No mention of fencing, so a 2-4yo needs close eyes. Excellent for children (5-9): multiple slides, obstacle course, flying fox. Skate bowl and half-court extend to tweens.

Access notes

Description explicitly says the main paths through the park are sealed and level, keeping flat sections accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The play equipment surface itself is bark and grass though, and no accessible parking or toilet is specifically mentioned.

Bishopdale Park Playground is anchored by a fibreglass elephant slide that has watched over the corner of Harewood Road and Leacroft Street since the mid 1970s, chosen through a community design competition and now old enough to have inspired a children's picture book. Generations of Cantabrians know the whole park simply as Elephant Park.
