Edgar MacIntosh Park is a Bryndwr playground and reserve built around Christchurch's best known seasonal drawcard, an open air paddling pool that runs from mid November to late March and pulls families in from well outside the suburb on warm days. The playground itself is a solid neighbourhood set of climbing and swing equipment, best suited to children under about seven who come mainly for the pool.

    Named in honour of Edgar Hika MacIntosh, Chch City Surveyor, who was instrumental in encouraging developers to set aside land for parks/recreation. Fabulous park and great for on or off leash (under effective control) dog walking. Paved or hard walkways and a lovely kids playground and paddling pool with shady areas.

    Just because your phone pings when you go past a certain area or a certain place doesn't necessarily mean you have visited that place or been to that place so someone needs to do something about the way this all works because it's saying I've been there I've been there I've been there when all I've done is drive past I have not been to this park I have no idea what's there so all I can say is find out for yourselves

    Nice little park. There is a children's playground and clean basic restrooms. Plenty of room to take a dog for a walk or through a ball to.
