Why these ages?

Marine-themed playground (lighthouse slide, boat, tractor, witches hat, hamster wheel) plus a full rebuilt skate flow bowl next door make this a strong tween/skater draw. Toddlers have an infant swing and imaginative play props but the site opens directly onto an adjacent skatepark and beach through the dunes, with the shopping strip across the road, so 2-4yos can't be let loose. No fenced junior zone.

MacLean Park is Paraparaumu Beach's marine themed playground and skatepark, pairing a lighthouse slide, boat, tractor and climbing net with one of the best skateparks on the Kapiti Coast, and beach access through the dunes just steps away. It suits a wide age range, from toddlers on the infant swing to older kids and skaters chasing the flow bowl.
