Why these ages?

Infant swing, multi-play with slide and long flying fox on a former quarry site. Description explicitly notes the skatepark section next door splits younger playground users from older kids on boards — the two zones are separated by layout. Reviewers say swings only suitable for little ones and skate area suits older kids. Flying fox is reasonably high; toddlers can play the swings but the mixed-age draw and open scooter/bike circuit means constant supervision required.

Accessibility
Wheelchair accessible

Access notes

The description explicitly states the playground is wheelchair accessible, and a review separately notes paths through the park suited to scootering, consistent with a step free surface underfoot. No accessible parking bay or accessible toilet is confirmed and there are no public toilets on site, but the direct wheelchair accessible claim is a strong standalone signal.

Equipment

Upland Road Playground sits at Little Rangitoto Reserve in Remuera, Auckland, built into the site of a former volcanic scoria quarry, with a flying fox that local families rate as one of the longer examples at a neighbourhood park. Swings, a pendulum swing, and a multi-play structure with a slide round out the equipment for a range of ages.

Nice little playground kids can enjoy. Playground got with a double blue slide, climbing equipment, tunnel, ramps, monkey bars, and more. It has a big park kids can run around. Got a flying fox. Well maintained.

This is a great place for smaller kids, the equipment is a bit dated but very functional and fun to play with, lots of climbing and swinging. There is also lots of green space and benches for parents to sit on. Walking over the hill, there is a flying fox and also a small skatepark which is perfect for smaller kids on bikes or scooters. Lovely place to hang out with the kids, even better in summer, lots of tree shade for picnics.

Fun for all ages! The kiddies are kept entertained in the playground and the grassy areas, and the oldies have places to watch them - or join in.
