Walter Nash Park

Taitā, Lower 5011

ParksPlaygroundsSports
Best suited to
Toddler-friendly0–4
Why these ages?

Description says the play equipment is 'suited to toddlers through to primary-age children', with infant swing, supernova spinner, balance equipment and slide on bark. Sits inside an open grassed reserve with tree shade and no adjacent water, skate, tall structures or busy road hazards - a calm 2-4yo run-around. Modest equipment set means older primary find it thin and tweens have to fall back on the basketball court/hub facilities.

Accessibility
Not accessible
- Bark or wood-chip surface (wheels sink)
Access notes

Description explicitly states the equipment sits on a bark surface, a barrier for wheelchair users, and while flat open grass surrounds the area, that is not a firm surface either, with only on street parking serving the site.
