Why these ages?

Description explicitly says the layout is open and unfenced 'worth close supervision for the youngest walkers', and a reviewer warns it is close to a main road so watch out for runners. Tunnel slide, in-ground trampoline, oversized swings, climbing wall are strong for 5-12yos. A basket swing, back-support swing and seesaw give toddlers something but one reviewer notes 'really nothing for younger kids'. Cafe with playground view helps parent supervision.

Access notes

Description states the layout is open and unfenced on flat terrain, easy for prams, and parking is available around the sides of the park. But the equipment sits across artificial and bark surfacing, confirmed by a review noting bark all around with turf only on the mounds, which blocks full wheelchair access.

Great playground, the kids love it. And there is good coffee right next door. What else do you need!

This has to be one of the best playground's I've taken my kids to. Lovely picknic area, plenty of space to ride bikes and shops just across the road. CHECK IT OUT.

Good playground for 4 years + but really nothing for younger kids. Would have been nice to have something for crawlers. No shade on the actual playground, but great trees for picnics. Cafe opens right up which is great, but not suitable for coffee groups.

Awesome playground. There's something for younger ones as well as bigger kids. Lots of flat open space so a great place to take kids bikes and get them learning. Lots of grassy space if you wanted to take a picnic lunch but there's also a cafe right in site if that's more your thing. There's one thing letting this playground down and it's not just this one but there is a definite lack of shade at this playground, so make sure you pack your hats, water bottles and plenty of sunscreen!!

A little clostrophobic the playground is packed into a corner of a large grassy park with a lot of space left unused. No shaded areas (apart from a tree) and only partially fenced and its not on the busy highway side. Due to the parks …

We frequent this park even though we don't live in whenuapai as this is a great little playground for kiddies. Safe from the road and plenty of rides like see saw and smaller merry go round to the big slide off the tall tower for bigger kids. Bark all around and artificial turf laid in the middle mounds. Kids can have hours of fun. Dedicated entrance to The Parkhouse cafe.

A little bit away from the north and central Auckland. It has long covered slide. Not so scary to kids. Quite new facilities and it also has Cafe at beside of the playground. Overall good.
