Why these ages?
One of the biggest playgrounds in NZ - fort with multiple slides, flying fox, hamster wheels, rocktopus, bike track, and a live miniature railway running right past the play area. Amazing for 5-12yo who can free-range. For a 2-4yo this is a lot to track: unfenced, large footprint, live rail line and tall fort. Great once they can be trusted to stay put.

Esplanade Scenic Railway, Playground Station is one of Palmerston North's biggest playgrounds, built around a large wooden fort with multiple slides and backed by a working miniature railway line that runs right past the play area.
