Fendalton Park Playground

Fendalton Park Playground occupies a woodchip-surfaced play area beside established trees in one of Fendalton's generous park reserves, with a multi-play structure and a junior multi-play structure both carrying slides, a glider, and swings with an infant seat, a spread that suits toddlers through primary-school-aged children on the same visit.

Equipment

The play area covers around 392 square metres. The two-level structure layout, junior and standard, gives a broad age range something to climb, while the glider is a less common addition for a neighbourhood-scale reserve.

Practical Info

A drinking fountain and seating are on site, with off-street parking available at the reserve. Established trees cast some shade over the picnic tables through parts of the day, though midday coverage over the equipment itself is minimal. Christchurch City Council operates a smokefree and vapefree policy here.
